Product Description

The Ventis HEI240, a large-sized single cast iron door wood-burning insert, is ideal for heating larger spaces ranging from 500 to 2,100 sq. ft. The firebox is equipped with refractory bricks, enhancing heat distribution. Utilizing non-catalytic combustion technology, the HEI240 features a stainless-steel secondary-air system to improve gas combustion efficiency. This unit boasts an 8-hour maximum burn time, accommodates 20" logs, has a maximum output of 75,000 BTU/h, and is EPA 2020 approved.

    The maximum heat output with dry cordwood is determined by a loading density varying between 15 lb/ft³ and 20 lb/ft³, while other performances adhere to a standard fuel load. The specified loading density ranges between 7 lb/ft³ and 12 lb/ft³, with moisture content between 19% and 25%.

    Measurements are conducted per CSA B415.1-10 stack loss method, considering the Higher Heating Value (HHV) and Lower Heating Value of the fuel. The optimum heat transfer efficiency is observed at the low burn rate (using HHV), showcasing the appliance's ability to convert solid fuel energy into heat transferred to the room, without considering chemical losses during combustion.
